Blog – Rhiannon and Jon (Footicubs Wirral)
Rhiannon and Jon manage three stadiums; Footicubs Ellesmere Port, Footicubs New Brighton and Footicubs Chester. They have been part of the Footicubs team since June 2023.
How did you get involved with Footicubs?
Our son attended the Ellesmere Port Stadium when he was 4 and absolutely loved it! When the chance came to purchase the stadium ourselves we jumped at it.
We then launched the New Brighton stadium in Oct 2023, and we plan to open a few more across the Wirral over the next few years. It truly is a family business for us!
What is your favourite part of Footicubs?
It’s such a positive environment to be a part of. We speak regularly with the other franchisee’s and offer help and advice to each other – it really is like being part of one big team!
Plus we get to play games and be silly every week! It really is a lot of fun. The classes are the best bit and we’re really lucky to have some incredible coaches to work with the children. Everyone from the kids to their parents to the coaches always leave with a smile on their face 😊
What is your favourite game to play at Footicubs?
Jon’s favourite is ‘What’s the time Mr. Bear’! The children always have fun with that! Rhiannon’s favourite game is ‘Sleepy Bear’, seeing the kids cover the coach in beanbags and footballs is always funny!
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?
Rhiannon is a singer and was a part of the choir who performed at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony. She got to sing with some greats such as the Who, George Michael, Liam Gallagher, and Muse.
If you find a clip from the show, see if you can spot the pink-haired singer in the choir. That’s her!
Jon also enjoys singing, but not quite at Rhiannon’s level. But if he sees karaoke, he’s always first on the mic!
