Blog – Coach Zahed (Footicubs Hillingdon)

 

Zahed owns and manages three early years stadiums across Hillingdon; Footicubs Ruislip, Footicubs Northwood and Footicubs Unxbridge. He has been part of the team since 2021 and absolutely loves what he does for a living!

 

How did you get involved with Footicubs?

I have always had a passion for football and working with children.  During the pandemic I delivered online football skills classes to children in my community across UK.  It was this that then prompted me to think about I can continue this and get involved on a more regular basis.  This is where the Footicubs story began!

 

What is your favourite part of Footicubs?

I just love the ethos behind it all, starting from the top with the Franchisor.  Money is important, but making a difference in the children’s lives is even better.  Getting to know every single child and their parent is amazing and just hearing about their own journeys is a joy. 

 

What is your favourite game to play at Footicubs?

All the games are so much fun, but if I had to choose it would be popcorn machine.  The children love it too and the drama of a rumbling machine just adds to the excitement.

 

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?

I have been in the franchising world for almost 20 years and have been involved in brands such as Pizza Hut and KFC.  On the flip side I am also a qualified personal trainer and have been for almost 10 years.  Again what started out with a hobby and enjoyment, I decided to get myself qualified and subsequently owned and operated a couple of gyms in London.
